Is Hillary Clinton doing enough for Barack Obama?

As Géry pointed out, Clinton's supporters might jeopardize the Democrats' chance to take back the White House. Let's see what Clinton is going to do about that.

Watch Senator Clinton's speech ( there's even a joke in part 1 at around 7'30):

She is certainly emphasizing her own priority : healthcare ( listen to the several anecdotes from the campaign), thus nudging the Obama campaign to shift to high gear on this issue. She insists on the need to change

In this section she gives her traditional stump speech for the first 3 minutes , then goes on to mention Obama (around 3'15) and reminds her supporters that they weren't in it for her but for her ideas, she then goes on to hammer her talking points. Then, she does give what sounds more like an endorsement speech by emphasizing the candidates' credentials and his ability to deliver the goods as transformational president. "And I can't wait to see President Obama sign into law a health care plan that covers every single American" ( 7'10): isn't this clever ??! She is introducing her central plank into his platform.

Skip to 1'59 to avoid the repetition of the last two minutes of part 2:

She presents John McCain as a great patriot and public servant but then slams his policies and his emphasizes how close he is to George W. Bush.
She then celebrates the American women and their fight for the right to vote : Seneca Falls, the Nineteenth Amendment, her own election as Senator.
Two short remarks :
- twice she mentions the fact that she ran for President, which is a bit of an overstatement, since she ran for the nomination of the Democratic Party.
- the "keep going" punch line, inspired by the heroic
Harriet Tubman (I'm sure you remember her and the "Underground railroad" helping slaves escape to the North), is repeated many times ( 5'30 to 6'40) and seems to me a clear sign that she will do just that, keep going and probably run for President again!

Her last words are for Barack Obama and Joe Biden, presenting their election as the first step towards positive change for all.

Next big speechs coming up: Bill Clinton tonight (although he is not happy with the topic of the speech) and Barack Obama on thursday
